Music Video Project: Copasetic- Let It Go

Hello my amazing readers!

Today I want to share with you a music video project I had the privilege to work on with an amazing and talented friend of mine; Ryan Andrew Mitchell. I have known Ryan for about 7 years now and he is by far one of the most hard-working individuals you could ever come across. Aside from having a 9-5 job he dedicates the rest of his to time to helping local and underground artist by: producing videos, conducting interviews and attending their shows. The countless hours of editing (& rendering) that goes into this type of production is insane and I am just only beginning to realize how much time he has put into this publication. Needless to say I am so proud to call this guy my friend and I am forever grateful for his positive influence on my own work and life.

This music video is for a local Vancouver artist: Copasetic and his latest song, “Let It Go”. When I first heard this song, I really enjoyed the vibe and like the message the song is conveying. I truly believe that letting go of bad relationships is vital for our growth and happiness. It goes without saying that it can be incredibly difficult to ‘Let go’ of the attachments we build in relationships but we shouldn’t underestimate our own individual strengths. Some of the strongest people I know are those who are able to spend time alone, there is something rather powerful in that space, when you are totally comfortable being in the presence of yourself.

One of my favorite shots in this video is where you see Michelle (our talented hip-hop dancer) in the parking lot dancing to the music with total ease and freedom. I love that she is able to portray a feeling of ease through dance and it’s such a freeing and powerful scene, I have watched it over and over again. I am curious to know what you guys think of the video?!
