Hello my amazing readers!
Most of you might be aware that I am Vancouverite and it’s been absolutely gorgeous in our city over the last few weeks. When summer season hits we get consistent sunshine in the city that rains pretty much 9 months out of the year. Therefore, we really do earn the sunny days during the summer months and it does not go unappreciated.
Last weekend, I spent everyday at the beach accompanied with some newly found friends and some old friends I have recently reconnected with. On Sunday, I ventured out to a new beach I had never gone to before; Wreck Beach. This is a spot where clothing is optional and nudist are welcome. Now before I let your imagination get too wild, no I did not partake in the nudism traditions! and not because it’s wrong but it’s just not my thing. I have to admit though, I was fairly hesitant to go to this beach, not knowing what I would encounter or what I should be expecting.
Upon entering the premise of the beach of course the initial shock of seeing nudity set-in but as I looked around… nobody else seemed to care at all about any of it. More shocking was how quickly I got use to seeing all the people there who were nude. And after about an hour I could not careless if people ever wore clothes again in public… everyone was so chill and extremely nonchalant about the whole thing!
As my friends and I settled for a prime spot on the beach and put our tanning oils on, I began to relax and really take in the breathtaking beauty of this location. You could see the massiveness of the ocean and into the distance the outline of our great mountains. Gosh, it was just breathtakingly spectacular and I was in utopia. I could feel the free spirited energy the beach carried with it’s people and it’s grounds. I closed my eyes and went into deep meditation, with the lingering thought of .. is this what paradise feels like?
