Super Soul Sunday: How Does One Lead A Meaningful Life

This past April, while giving a lecture at Stanford University, Oprah Winfrey shared her thoughts on the meaning of life. The hour and a half lecture was enlightening to listen to and I encourage you all to view the full lecture available on Youtube. For the purpose of this post however, I will be sharing a small snippet of the talk with you.

It starts with the question that we all ask ourselves: how does one lead a meaningful life?

Oprah suggests that it starts with having a deep sense of awareness about who you are and why you are here. Well that’s a tall order, isn’t it? I mean even if you have a fairly good understanding of who you are, isn’t it still challenging to exactly why you are here?

In short, Oprah explains that having a sense of who you are will lead you to the path of what you are meant to do in life. The goal then becomes to grow and build yourself each and everyday in order to fulfill your purpose.

It all starts with gratitude and bringing ourselves to the present moment in order to appreciate the human life. So consider saying “thank you” on this amazing Sunday to life and the ability to live today.
