Super Soul Sunday: Be Willing To Accept Help

Hello my amazing readers,

Happy Sunday! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. As I do the “Super Soul” posts every week, it’s really rewarding to look back and see what lessons I have learned and what I have accomplished for the week. One of the things I have been thinking about a lot this week is: accepting help from others.

I have always had difficulty with accepting help from my friends and even family at times. Whether it’s for something like moving a few pieces of furniture or even just a simple heart to heart talk that I need. I am pretty sure it has something to do with pride and ego but I always want to do things on my own.

It wasn’t until recently that I began to take the help that was offered to me by my friends and I feel so blessed and grateful for it. Don’t get me wrong, I still prefer to do things on my own but I see now how powerful the presence of a good friend really is! I guess we all really do need each other even for things like moral support.

As much as I like to think I am independent, I can’t deny that two heads are better than one!

I think one of the most rewarding aspects of any human relationship is when two or more people can help each other achieve their individual goals. And for that reason, I make myself available for my friends. I wholeheartedly agree with Newton’s third law of motion when it comes to how the universe works:

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Some people call this Karma, in that whatever you do is inevitably going to be done to you and I think this is really the golden rule of life!

It’s important that we all do good deeds and make ourselves available for others. I mean really show up when people need you because you never know if those very people could provide you with the missing pieces of your life’s puzzle.
