Artist Spotlight: Brooklyn Trio-Wet

Hello Everyone,

It’s artist spotlight Wednesday and my new favourite find is the brooklyn trio: Wet. They first made waves in 2013 with their self-titled debut EP. Since then, they have toured with the likes of CHVRCHES and London Grammar. They are currently on tour and scheduled to come to Vancouver October 3rd (this Saturday)!

If you are looking for a new indie R&B group to add to your playlist, I highly recommend this band because their sound is genuine, sweet and hits on all the emotional cords. The lead singer and chief songwriter Kelly Zutrau, carries the band with grace and honesty about who she is and her own personal style. I really respect artists who don’t try to fit the “pop-star” sound and that’s what really drew me to her and the band.

They have been making waves touring North America and have recently signed on to Columbia Records after a bidding war was caused between record labels to sign them. If that’s not indication enough that this is a major band to watch for, just close your eyes and take a listen to their songs…

Let me know what you guys think!

Well the two other bands you mention are wonderful so even before listening I think I’ll like them. So happy you like London Grammar. This song is just incredible. Shows her voice off perfectly https://alexraphael.wordpress.com/2015/04/01/lines-of-the-day-darlingareyougonnaleaveme/
