Hello my amazing readers!
Happy Super Soul Sunday, I hope you are all having a relaxing Sunday and doing something good for yourself today. Last week I discussed the concept of Visualization as introduced by Jim Carrey on Oprah’s show. And this week I would like to further develop that by presenting to you all a part of “Jim Carrey’s Commencement Address at the 2014 MUM Graduation”.
During the speech Jim Carrey talks about his father; an accountant who wasn’t necessarily enthusiastic about his job and ended up struggling a lot because of it. Through his father’s struggle Jim learned an important lesson:
“You can fail at what you don’t want, so you might as well take a chance on doing what you love.”
That was a statement that really stuck with me because a lot of times we are faced with so many pressures that steer us away from pursuing our goals. Maybe a lot of our hesitations stem from fear and failure but if you never risk being seen you will never know what you could have accomplished.
