Priceless Moments: Dinner With An Old Friend

Hello my awesome readers,

Last night was all the feels on that darn emotional cord for me! It’s so priceless to have those friends who have seen the evolution of your life from childhood to adulthood and the present moment. One of my longest and most amazing friendships is with Crystal, a friend I have had for 18 years now. We attended the same elementary school, high school, and university! But most importantly we have been witness to each other’s life stories. We have laughed through many joyous occasions, at times cried in each others arms and have seen each other achieve so many different milestones.

Last night, in the midst of conversation over a catch-up dinner, I realized how much we have both grown and how valuable our life experiences have been. From the days we would hang out at recess and share our snacks in elementary school, to the heartbreaks we experienced in university, to the adulthood struggles and the realization of how blessed we are today. It’s amazing to have people in your life that not only know your evolution but also know your heart.

It’s normal to have a lot of friends come and go but the ones that are for life, are the most precious. And they are the ones that give you the most powerful positive energy, just when you need it most!

I hope you all have the same kinds of friends in your lives and if you do, take a moment to appreciate and thank them!

Quite a lot. About a dozen from school and a few friends from different places. Scouts (no laughing haha) and old football team sort of thing. Always sad when you drift apart though.
