I recently took a trip down to Chicago and it had been a little over 7 years since I last visited. Chicago has always been a place where I felt at home and built a lot of great memories in. There is something undeniably attractive about the city and I am not the only one who feels this way:
I set foot in this city, and just walking down the street, it was like roots, like the motherland. I knew I belonged here. – Oprah Winfrey
Maybe it’s the energy of the people or the culture of the city but it has just the right combination of “America” with a strong sense of its own culture, which is undeniably admirable.
I’m impressed with the people from Chicago. Hollywood is hype, New York is talk, Chicago is work. – Michael Douglas
Within the first hour of my re-visit, I wondered aimlessly down the streets of Chicago, looking at all the tall buildings: some old, many of them new. The city certainly grew taller since my last trip but my god the energy is still just as vibrant as it always was. The people of Chicago mesmerize me, they walk with a certain level of confidence that I have only witnessed in New Yorkers and it’s absolutely exhilarating.
Eventually, I think Chicago will be the most beautiful great city left in the world.- Frank Lloyd Wright
There are so many activities to delve into while in Chicago; Navy Pier, Countless old school Jazz bars, john Hancock observatory, Millennium park, numerous famous eateries and of course the Art Institute of Chicago. But tourist attractions aside the people of Chicago make the city what it is!
With that said here are some snaps of my trip:

Thanks for being so good to me Chicago! I’ll be back very very soon~
