Artist Spotlight: London Duo “Oh Wonder”.

This is a little treat for your Tuesday tunes!

Oh Wonder duo; Josephine Vander Gucht and Anthony West, are a London based alternative pop band with that perfect mellow sound to get you through the weekday.

This duo setout to record  an album together in 2014 and did so in a rather uncoventional way; by writing, recording, editing and releasing one sing per month for 12 months. These monthly releases accumulated to be the groups first album Oh Wonder. They have already soldout shows in several prominant cities; New York, Chicago, L.A, SF and London so if you have a chance to catch them live, I wouldnt pass on it!

Here are some of my favorites from their current album:

Without You

“Come back into the good life
Lose these hazy love lies
I’ve been chasing my mind
Lonely in the cold nights”

Lose It

“Wide eyed, you look at me
Set on fire in a silver dream
Spin round you can feel the breeze
Count one, two, three”

All We Do

“All we do is play it safe
All we do is live inside a cage
All we do is play it safe
All we do, all we do”

Awesome. Thanks for this. Us Brits do have plenty of awesome duos. Wham, Tears for Fears, Pet Shop Boys, Years and Years…
