Vancouver Finally Had a Snow Day!

We hadn’t seen snow in downtown Vancouver in a little over 2 years but yesterday all Vancouverites woke up to a blanket of snow covering the city. And even though it was only a few centimetres, we pretty much all lost it! Schools were cancelled, workdays were cut short, roads were closed, highways were jammed and suddenly nobody knew what to do anymore. The chaos, although frustrating at times, was still pure joy because of the snow! and I think I speak for the majority of Vancouverites when I say:

let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

I took advantage of what turned out to be an adult snow day to run errands and decorate the Christmas tree! Now I just need to add a few more ornaments and find an appropriate topper which has proven to be ever more difficult. If you are shopping for a tree in Vancouver, check out Canadian Tire and for ornaments; Michaels for the best selection.

And now for an epic slow motion video of the snowfall yesterday.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have all have a wonderful Tuesday 🙂

  4. I’m still hoping for snow here. It’s cold but not that cold. Plus my room is like a pressure cooker so I actually have a fan on in my room! Not really a frosty Christmassy feel yet.
